* Location: Remote mine site in the Bowen Basin area
* Employment Type: Full-Time
* Reports to: Site / Village Manager
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the catering team to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
2. Develop and create diverse and nutritious menus that cater to various dietary requirements.
3. Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain high standards of quality and hygiene.
4. Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and controlling food costs.
5. Train and mentor catering team members to foster a positive and productive work environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Experience: Proven experience as a Head Chef in high-volume catering or remote village operations.
* Certification: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (essential).
* Safety Training: Safe Food Handling Certificate (desired).
