About the Opportunity
As the Configuration Management Lead for Austal Defence Australia (ADA), your role is to oversee the configuration management functions - planning, identification, control, status accounting and auditing for specified contract/project.
The CML will ensure configuration management activities for assigned project are adequately planned, estimated, implemented and supported by appropriate tools

What's Involved
* Coordinate with Configuration Manager and other departments to identify opportunities for improvement and strategic outlook.
* Manage the day-to-day activities of the CM process, including the establishment of priorities and work tasks.
* Provide strategic planning to achieve program outcomes.
* Responsible for continuous improvement of CM processes, tools, methods, and techniques
* Facilitate Configuration Management Audits
* Responsible for controlling change against the approved baseline and embody changes, as approved.
* Ensuring that all information within the CM database is accurate and up-to-date.
* Responsibility of ensuring the day-to-day tasks are conducted according to the configuration management plan.
You'll Need
* 5 years' experience in configuration management role, preferably with Defence experience
* Formal Configuration Management training
* Experience with use and application of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Tool
* Knowledge of Configuration Management principles, plans, procedures, and processes
* Strong management skills and team building capability.
* Ability to distribute Configuration Management knowledge to wider Austal audience.
