A Maternity Contract Opportunity
Literary Agent - Minimum level: Associate
We are seeking a highly skilled Literary or Associate Literary agent to manage and elevate the ambitions of our writing, directing, and composing clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Establish and maintain client relationships and strategize client career plans
2. Read client materials, provide feedback, and craft pitches for the market
3. Pitch TV and film projects to screen producers
4. Pitch plays to theatre producers
5. Secure work for clients and pitch them for projects
6. Represent us at industry events as required
7. Draft and negotiate option, writing, and employment contracts
8. Foster industry relationships with Theatre and Screen Development executives, managers, Stage and Screen Producers, and Artistic Directors
9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, productions, companies, broadcasters, streamers, and job appointments
10. Client scheduling and invoicing
To excel in this role, you must be highly organized, an exceptional communicator, knowledgeable about the screen and theatre industry, skilled in negotiation, proactive, industry-savvy, and an excellent problem solver.
Training will take place over three weeks, commencing 19th August, Tuesday to Thursday. Following training, you will work full-time from 8th September to mid-March, with the possibility of extension.
