Based in the Djelk Indigenous Protected Area (IPA) of West Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory, the Homeland School Company (HSC) is set to open its first independent school at Gamardi in 2026, with independent schools at Buluh Kaduru and Gochan Jiny Jirra to follow.
We are looking for a motivated Business Manager, with experience working with remote Aboriginal communities, to lead our schools' finance, human resources and core operational functions with confidence and integrity. Working closely with the leadership team and HSC Board, this autonomous role provides strategic financial oversight, delivers timely advice, and ensures the school's business operations run smoothly, efficiently and in full compliance with all legal, governance and regulatory requirements. With a strong focus on long-term financial sustainability and strategic planning, the Business Manager oversees reporting, risk management, asset management and the responsible use of resources, while serving as the primary liaison with government agencies, banks and key external partners to support the continued growth and strength of the school.
