Details: We are seeking a motivated and capable legal professional to join the Supreme Court as a Deputy Registrar, Legal One. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the effective functioning of the ACT's highest court, working closely with the Registrar and Senior Deputy Registrars.
You will undertake legal research, assist with the development of practice directions and procedural reforms, and exercise statutory powers relating to probate and estate administration. You will also engage with the legal profession and the public and support the capability of registry staff through training and mentorship.

Eligibility/Other requirements:
* Mandatory: This position requires a degree in laws of an Australian tertiary institution.
* Mandatory: Computer literacy skills.
* Desirable: Experience working in a court environment.
* Desirable: Experience working in a legal firm in an estates practice
* To be eligible for permanent or temporary employment within the ACT Public Service you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid work visa.
* The successful candidate will be required to undergo a National Police Check.
Notes: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
