CALLUS BRICKLAYING PTY LTD is looking for a skilled and experience bricklayer to join our business.
Duties and responsibilities:
·Analyzing and interpreting building plans.
·Interpreting work orders and determining the materials required.
·Erecting and dismantling restricted height scaffolding
·Creating and maintaining structures, walls, foundations etc using various types of blocks, tiles, boards, and stone.
·Laying bricks in rows, designs and shapes, and spreading mortar between joints
·Embedding blocks in mortar and removing excess mortar
·Strengthening and sealing foundations with the appropriate material, usually damp-resistant materials
·Fastening bricks with wire clamps or cement.
·Repairing building blocks
·Understanding and managing the quantities of material required for the job
·Using tools such as hand tools, brick-cutting machines but also spirit levels and plumb lines to check building alignment
·Working safely on scaffolds and swing stages at various heights.
·Using equipment and tools effectively to perform basic construction tasks.
·Ensuring compliance to agreed codes, legislation, and procedures including health and safety
·Maintaining accurate records/documentation associated with the work undertaken
Summary of role requirements:
·Certificate III/IV in Bricklaying or equivalent
·1 year of relevant experience
·Salary - $70,000 - $80,000
