Offer description

Telehealth Paediatric Occupational Therapist & Senior Team Lead

Picture this…… it's 9am and you've just sat down with a hot cup of tea at your desk at home.

Your dishwasher & washing machine are humming away in the background. (Is it just us or does it feel so productive to have two appliances going?)

You open up your computer and get ready for your first client.

Meanwhile, in rural Australia, your client is logging on to their appointment with you - virtually. On the ground in Parkes, you have a dedicated Allied Health Assistant who is supporting the client to log on, and is helping to keep them engaged and on track during the session, with a bag full of toys

After connecting with your client from the comfort of your own home, it's then time to jump on a call with one of your colleagues - a Physiotherapist or Speech Pathologist to discuss a mutual client.

You are making a difference in the lives of rural communities all whilst working from home - no travel costs, no commuting, and best of all, no barriers

You have a flexible working arrangement. You are in charge of choosing your own hours and working days so there is never any need to ask permission to go to your kids' school concert. You also have access to unlimited support from a wider team of multidisciplinary therapists.

You will lead a team of junior 3 Paeds OTs, including 1:1 check ins, monthly meetings & clinical supervision. You will be a part of our leadership team at Kerin health, where the senior team leads from other disciplines come together regularly for leadership training and mentoring, so you can best support your team, while learning and growing as a leader.

As a remote team member, you may also visit our primary clinical location in Parkes, New South Wales with paid travel and accomodation costs. Attend one of our quarterly team professional development days, or take the opportunity to complete a block of face-to-face therapy appointments with your clients whilst in town.

Sound like the dream job for you?

Kerin Health is seeking an experienced, dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic and innovative team, providing high-quality therapeutic services to children in rural Australia through Telehealth.

This unique opportunity allows you to work remotely while supporting and making a difference in the lives of little clients and families in rural areas, as well as the OTs you will lead and support. You will collaborate with a supportive multidisciplinary team, including Allied Health Assistants, to provide comprehensive care and interventions.

If you are passionate about rural healthcare, and making a positive and lasting impact on the lives of families in rural Australia, join our team of dedicated professionals and help shape the future of occupational therapy in remote communities.

This role is a Paediatric client caseload and requires a minimum of 3 years experience.
