Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our medical team in a beautiful subtropical region of Queensland.
The successful candidate will have the chance to work in a well-resourced health service, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the education and training of junior medical staff.
* Provide clinical duties within the Department of Orthopaedics, including inpatient care, pre- and post-operation, outpatient care, community care.
* Promote and participate in outreach to rural facilities in the Whitsunday area (Bowen and Proserpine).
* Participate in the after-hours on-call roster as required.
* Develop and deliver educational programs for medical students in the Orthopaedics Department.
Key Responsibilities
* Servicing and supervising clinical services provided by junior medical staff.
* Working collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
* Maintaining up-to-date knowledge and skills in orthopaedic surgery to provide high-quality patient care.

Requirements
* Registration as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Eligibility for registration with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) or equivalent overseas qualifications.
