As a Pool Duty Lifeguard, you will guide and support a diverse aquatics team, uphold industry best practice, and ensure our centres operate smoothly, safely and in line with Council values, legislation and the Guidelines for Safe Pool Operations.
About your new role
Working closely with the Pool Lifeguard Team Leader, you will assist in delivering workplace health and safety compliance training and quarterly in‑service sessions to ensure our lifeguard team maintains peak skill competency. You'll oversee lifeguard staff, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all pool users while maintaining a clean, secure and professional environment. If you're a strong communicator with a passion for water safety and the ability to lead by example, we want you on our team.
As the centre operates seven days a week, with opening hours from 5:00am to 8:00pm, applicants must be available to work across a range of shifts.
What we're looking for:
* A confident communicator with a strong passion for water safety and team leadership
* Skilled in supervision, risk management and effective emergency response
* Committed to delivering high standards of customer service and facility presentation
* Experienced in coaching and supporting others to build capability and confidence
* Dedicated to contributing to a positive, proactive and safety‑focused workplace.
* A Pool Plant Operator Certificate, together with relevant experience, is highly regarded for this role.
