We are seeking a skilled professional to manage workers compensation claims under our self-insurance program. The ideal candidate will have expertise in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering prompt and accurate workers compensation benefits to injured team members.
 * The successful applicant will be responsible for the end-to-end operation of workers compensation claims, adhering to legislation, regulations, and terms of our self-insurance licence.
 * They will collect and consider factual and medical information to support decision making in accordance with WorkSafe's sustainable decision making framework.
 * The role involves liaising with treatment providers, including allied health professionals, specialists, and treating doctors to ensure efficacious and cost-effective treatment, ensuring treatment requests are promptly determined.
 * Working collaboratively with all stakeholders to promote return to work, proactively identifying barriers and implementing effective strategies to improve return to work outcomes, reduce hours lost, and mitigate claims costs.
 * Establishing and maintaining proactive communication with injured team members, their treating practitioners, and other stakeholders to facilitate recovery and early, sustainable return to work.
 * Actively monitoring and managing return to work progress to ensure issues are identified early and timely action is taken.
 * Providing coaching and advice to site management to drive a high level of compliance with injury and claims procedures, incident management procedures, and the development of capability in managing return to work processes.
 * Promoting and supporting the Early Intervention Program to maximise program take up rate.
 * Participating in case conferences with stakeholders to define and implement effective case management strategies.
 * Maintaining accurate claim and injury management records.
