Purpose
We are seeking a Payroll Officer to join our dynamic and dedicated team based in Surfers Paradise.
Collaborating closely with our Payroll Leadership Team, you will expand and gain valuable experience assisting with end-to-end payroll for team members for our hotels across Australia.
The Role
While experience in Payroll is desirable, it is not essential.
We highly value transferable skills like customer service experience, numerical confidence, analytical thinking, and the ability to excel in a high-volume environment.
38 hours per week on a Full-Time contract
Monday – Friday, giving you the weekend to enjoy your time
Opportunity for hybrid work arrangements allowing for one day a week home-based work to accommodate both organisational and individual requirements on completion of training.
Primary Responsibilities
Process new starters, maintain employee records, and handle payroll queries with finesse
Take charge of preparing and processing termination payments to ensure a seamless experience for our team members
Roll up your sleeves and dive into the fortnightly payroll process, showcasing your meticulous attention to detail
Gain valuable exposure to employment legislation and Awards, expanding your knowledge and skills
Deliver top-notch customer service by responding to all enquiries in a timely, professional, and friendly manner, ensuring our team members feel supported and valued
Skills and Experience
Exposure to a payroll environment is preferred, however Junior Payroll Officers, Workforce Planning Officers and those with an HR background are encouraged to apply.
Full support will be provided to enhance your current skill set
Familiarity with integrated payroll systems such as Dayforce or Tanda is highly desirable, however not essential
Proven ability to work effectively in a team or service delivery environment
Previous experience in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented role
Working knowledge of Excel is preferred
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills
