Local government organisation seeking a Procurement Officer for a 6-month assignment Your new role As Procurement Officer, your responsibilities will include: Assist to implement and monitor appropriate procurement systems and practices to ensure a high degree of compliance, probity, and advice to Business Units. Assist with the preparation of procurement documents in accordance with legislation, procurement policies/procedures, including established insurance, WH&S and environmental policies. Publish and manage procurement documents, using electronic or automated processes, in accordance with legislation and procedures. Facilitate the management and evaluation of procurement submissions with Business Unit and evaluation panel. Prepare contract documentation and manage the execution thereof. Assist with the administration of the contract registers and vendor panels. Maintain contract management records and documentation in document management system. Assist with spend analysis to identify opportunities Collaborate across business units to deliver value for money procurement outcomes.
