The role
Pearce IP is looking for a capable and driven Executive (Partner) Trade Mark Attorney to join its executive team and grow the trade marks practice. Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will have the proven ability to:
* grow and lead a trade marks practice and team of high performing trade marks professionals in ANZ;
* provide legally sound, independent, and commercially appropriate branding strategies and services, including contentious and non contentious trade marks matters before IP Australia and IPONZ;
* advise on infringement of registered and unregistered trade marks;
* manage (or assisting Pearce IP's litigation team with the management of) trade mark enforcement/infringement proceedings in ANZ;
* assist with the commercialisation of trade marks across multiple jurisdictions.
What we are looking for
You will have 15+ years PQE as a Lawyer and Trade Mark Attorney within a high performing trade marks team. You will be a highly effective leader and practitioner, with considerable experience in:
* Technical Excellence - building and implementing elegant ANZ brand protection and enforcement strategies for multinational and local companies;
* Leadership - working collaboratively with other business unit leads to grow the trade marks practice and team;
* Business development – confidently securing business development opportunities and – through them – new clients;
* Client relationship management – understanding that effective client management is all about building good relationships, and good relationships require investment.
