FIFO Light Vehicle Mechanic / Auto Electrician
GBTK Automotive is an established business operating in the Pilbara's Port Hedland.
We are looking for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Dual Trade Light Vehicle Mechanic / Automotive Electrician to join our small team.
We are looking for a FIFO (ex Perth) or Local Resident.
Your Role
Troubleshoot and conduct diagnostics across a wide range of vehicles
Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, gearbox, suspension, brake, steering and driveline components
Repairing or replacing worn/defective parts
Perform vehicle services such as oil changes and mandatory service requirements as per manufacture
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read parts diagrams and schematics
Understanding of circuit diagrams and wiring
Installation of electrics and excellent overall electrical skills
Mine spec and accessory fit outs
Adhering to all safety procedures and ensuring a safe work environment
About you
Full Australian working rights.
Be a qualified Motor Mechanic / Auto Electrician ( Certificate III in Light Vehicle + Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology )
Have a minimum of 3 years work experience as a Qualified Mechanic / Auto Electrician
Hold a Full Valid Drivers licence
A high level of attention to detail
Capable of working a wide range of vehicle makes and models
Experience in problem solving and diagnostic skills
Work independently and unsupervised
Excellent time management and communication skills a must
