Our client is a leading Brisbane-based surgical specialist clinic seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist/Secretary to join their Brisbane team on either a 4 or 5‐day-per-week basis. This pivotal role will provide close administrative support to a highly regarded team of 5 Surgeons.

Key duties and responsibilities
* Welcome and assist patients in a friendly, professional manner
* Manage all incoming and outgoing telephone calls and respond to general patient enquiries
* Handle day‐to‐day patient correspondence, including emails and faxes
* Coordinate and manage new patient referrals
* Process patient billing and receipting, with prior experience in Medicare, DVA, Workcover, and private health funds preferred
* Prepare and manage patient clinics
* Prepare patient theatre quotes and coordinate theatre bookings
* Assist with billing for theatre procedures
* Provide general secretarial and administrative support to a fast‐paced and growing practice
About You
* A minimum of 6 months' experience within a surgical specialist setting (preferred)
* Previous experience using Gentu software and Eclipse billing (highly regarded)
* The ability to thrive in a fast‐paced environment while maintaining a calm, cheerful demeanour
* Strong capability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
* Exceptional customer service skills with a warm and articulate phone manner
* A genuine passion for delivering outstanding patient care and going above and beyond
* A willingness to learn and contribute to continuous improvement of practice systems
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
* Professional personal presentation
* Reliability and strong punctuality
Remuneration
A salary within the range of $37 – $42 p/hour + super will be offered to a suitably experienced candidate. The practice is supported by great public transport options.
