Achieve Something Great

Campbelltown Hospital is entering an exciting period of growth as part of one of the fastest expanding regions in NSW. Our newly redeveloped facilities are designed to support world‐class care, innovation, and a strong culture of clinical excellence. We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager Grade 4 to lead our Intensive Care Unit and help shape the future of critical care in South Western Sydney. The Nurse Manager 4 (NM4) for the Intensive Care Unit provides high‐level operational management, strategic leadership, and professional guidance across a complex, high‐acuity service. This role oversees the delivery of safe, evidence‐based, patient‐centred care while fostering a positive workplace culture and driving continuous improvement. You will lead a dedicated and skilled critical care nursing workforce, manage resources effectively, and collaborate closely with medical, allied health, and executive teams to ensure the ICU meets clinical, operational, and organisational priorities. This is an opportunity to influence service development, champion excellence, and contribute to a rapidly evolving health district committed to exceptional patient outcomes.

Are You the Right Fit?

You are an experienced critical care nursing leader with strong strategic capability, advanced communication and problem‐solving skills, and a passion for delivering safe, high‐quality care. You thrive in fast‐paced environments, enjoy leading teams through change, and have the ability to influence, engage, and inspire. You bring a forward‐thinking approach to service delivery, a commitment to professional development, and the confidence to guide a high‐performing team through complex clinical challenges. If you are ready to take the next step in your leadership journey and make a meaningful impact on the future of critical care, we would love to hear from you.

* Campbelltown Hospital's ICU is growing and evolving. Outline a workforce or service‐improvement initiative you have led in a critical care setting. How did you identify the need, gain stakeholder support, implement change, and measure its impact?
* Describe a situation where you worked collaboratively with another department to improve patient flow, patient outcomes, or service delivery within a critical care environment. What strategies did you use to build effective relationships, manage differing priorities, and ensure a successful outcome?
