Your Contribution
- Drive the security strategy and implement security related services, ensuring that the overall security strategy is aligned to the business needs.
- Influence leaders across ECQ and engage with the business in all areas of security, including security policies and standards, incident management, security consultancy, legal and regulatory compliance, security compliance audits and security budget.
- Improve the security culture within the ECQ and ensure security is maintained and updated through introduction and management of an appropriate controls environment.
- Develop and implement policies, standards, guidelines and procedures regarding areas such as information security, cyber security, disaster recovery, loss and fraud prevention and privacy, emergency and incident responses.
- Oversee and coordinate security efforts across the organisation.
- Oversee a network of vendors and other stakeholders who secure the ECQ's assets.
- Oversee the safeguarding of intellectual property and computer systems.
- Maintain relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement and other related government agencies.
- Collaborate with internal and external audit and risk stakeholders.
- Contribute to an equitable, healthy and safe work environment.
- Other duties as directed.
Desirable Attributes
**The following attributes will be highly regarded**:
- While not mandatory relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Security, Cyber Security, Risk Management, Business or a related field will be highly regarded.
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated understanding of security concepts such as confidentiality, integrity, availability, privacy, asset, threat, vulnerability, risk, control, risk treatment and other related topics as well as business implications associated with such topics.
- Effective working knowledge of IS-18, ASD Essential 8 and other security frameworks.
