We are looking for a chef to lead our new restaurant / cafe at the Sunshine Coast’s newest accommodation venue, Sixty6 Acres Woombye.
Who are we?
Our coastal country farmstay provides luxury farm Quarters and powered sites, miniature farm animals, lake, plunge pools and heritage crops in the heart of the Sunshine Coast. Catering for up to 284 overnight guests once we open (lower average is expected initially), we have a brand new commercial kitchen, stylish restaurant, bar and cafe facilities. We envisage the restaurant will primarily operate Thursday to Sunday with café offerings at other times, and build steadily with the potential for guest events. We are a professional, family-based operation looking for the right person to join our team of all-rounders and work in our beautiful rural surrounds.
Who are you?
Our ideal candidate is a proven, passionate chef who is brimming with ideas and enthusiasm, and can create and deliver our menu options and manage staff. While we have suggestions for the style of food that suits our location (using fresh local ingredients, farm-to-fork), we need someone to take ownership and lead our F&B offerings.
With a minimum of five years relevant experience, the candidate must be self driven, flexible, enjoys working both independently and collaboratively, and have commercial acumen to manage efficiency and profitability. This is a hands-on delivery role, not simply managing others. Some weekend work is mandatory.
