Planning Lawyer
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Planning Lawyer to join our team. As a Planning Lawyer, you will play a key role in advising clients on planning approvals, land use strategy, environmental compliance, and other related matters.
You will work closely with highly regarded partners in the planning and environment space, providing expert legal advice and guidance to clients on complex matters.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in planning, environment, or local government law, with at least 3-4 years of PQE experience. Knowledge of NSW planning laws is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
* Advise clients on planning approvals and land use strategy
* Provide expert legal advice on environmental compliance and regulation
* Assist with compulsory acquisitions and land compensation
* Work on major infrastructure and urban development projects
* Litigation and dispute resolution before the Land and Environment Court
Requirements:
* 3-4 years PQE in planning, environment, or local government law
* Knowledge of NSW planning laws desirable
* Strong technical legal skills and drafting ability
* Excellent communication and client management skills
* A collaborative approach and eagerness to work in a high-performing team
