Job Title
An experienced Allergy Chef is required to join our team for the summer. As a vital member of our culinary staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that campers and staff with dietary restrictions or complex health issues receive safe and healthy meals.
The ideal candidate will have completed training in foods, nutrition, and/or dietetics, as well as a certification in handling food allergies. A minimum of three years' experience working as an allergy cook or chef in a healthcare facility kitchen, restaurant, hotel, camp, or catering operation is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Menu Development: Create menus that cater to special dietary needs.
* Food Preparation: Prepare and present gluten-free meals that meet high nutritional standards.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of food preparation and inventory.
* Collaboration: Collaborate with the head chef, food manager, and nutritionist to ensure compliance with dietary laws.
* Cleanliness: Ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times.
