Job Description

This is a 12-month fixed-term, full-time position commencing mid-Term 3, 2025 with possible extension and/or permanency. Hedland Senior High School (SHS) is an Independent Public School catering for students from Years 7 to 12.

Teachers in the Hedland SHS Health and Physical Education team focus on creating outstanding outcomes for students and empowering every learner.

We are a collaborative, supportive, and close-knit team. Our practice is data-driven to ensure improvement for our students.

The successful applicant will strive for excellence in Health and Physical Education teaching and demonstrate a desire to deliver a range of courses across Year 7-12.

A Certificate IV in Training and Assessing and Outdoor Education qualifications is highly regarded.

Teachers and School Administrators employed at Hedland Senior High School in 2025 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $4,677 (pa, gross - to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure).

Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year.

Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.
