This permanent, full‐time role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive care while working alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
* Integrate contemporary information and evidence with experience to support decision making, innovative thinking and objective analysis.
* Apply and share expert clinical knowledge to improve the consumer's care.
* Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments.
* Initiate and interpret diagnostic pathology and/or radiology.
* Initiate short and medium‐term psychotherapies and other treatments including psychotropic and other medications.
* Clinically manage consumers either directly or by delegation, including admitting and discharging from clinical settings.
* Communicate and develop treatment, safety, and management plans in collaboration with consumers, other relevant members of the health care team, and General Practitioners.
* Contribute clinical expertise to learning environments, which may include individual/team capability development and/or post‐registration clinical teaching.
* Operational management responsibilities.
What You'll Bring
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with AHPRA.
* Master Nurse Practitioner with specialisation in mental health.
* Postgraduate qualifications in mental health or psychiatric nursing.
* Significant experience working with all ages across the lifespan experiencing mental health concerns.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to person‐centred care and recovery principles.
* Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals.
Salary: $148,470 per annum (pro rata). Employer superannuation contribution of 12% is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. Post‐graduate allowance up to 7.5% may be available.
Benefits include living expenses up to $9,010 and meal entertainment up to $2,650 each FBT year, along with other eligible benefits.
