About the role:
* Oversee and manage kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality cuisine in a fast-paced environment.
* Assist the Executive Chef in planning, organizing and directing kitchen activities.
Responsibilities:
* Assisting the Executive Chef in planning, organizing and directing kitchen activities.
* Managing food preparation, cooking and presentation of all menu items.
* Execute each station with precision, consistency and lead by example.
* Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
* Manage staff performance and drive the kitchen team.
* Filling in for the Executive Chef during times of absence.
* Mentor and train junior kitchen staff to develop their skills.
* Participate in menu development and costing.
* Confidently manage inventory, waste and ordering of supplies.
* Monitor prep work and production processes.
* Maintain consistency in taste, quality and presentation across all dishes.
* Provide excellent customer service to all guests.
* Create a positive work environment that fosters innovation and creativity.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or equivalent role in a busy restaurant environment.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
* Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
* Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
* Passion for creating innovative, high-quality cuisine.
* Culinary Arts qualifications or equivalent training.
