About the role
We are seeking an experienced Site Foreman/Supervisor to join the team at Kingston Design & Construct Pty Ltd in Brisbane, QLD. As a full-time Site Foreman/Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations and coordination of our construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
What you'll be doing
* Supervise and coordinate the work of construction crews, subcontractors, and other on-site personnel to ensure projects are executed efficiently and safely
* Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and work procedures to meet project objectives and deadlines
* Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and resolving any issues or challenges that arise
* Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
* Liaise with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to address concerns and provide updates
* Provide hands-on support and guidance to the construction team as needed
* Mentor and develop the skills of junior members of the construction crew
What we're looking for
* Extensive experience (3+ years) as a Site Foreman/Supervisor in the construction industry
* Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment
* Experience supervising mixed commercial and mixed project sectors
* Excellent onsite management and problem-solving skills
* Strong leadership and communication abilities, with the ability to effectively coordinate and motivate teams
* Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
* Adaptability and the ability to work well under pressure
* Relevant construction-related qualifications or certifications
* Must hold a trade qualification, First Aid/CPR certification, and White Card preferrably
* Must be able to travel to North Qld for projects (Townsville/Cairns/Torres Straits)
* Australian citizenship required for this position
