We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Credit Analyst to join our growing team in a pivotal role focused on the underwriting and management of secured business loans ranging from $500k to $2m.
This role is centered on identifying and assessing viable lending opportunities secured by second registered mortgages over residential and commercial real estate.
You will act as a critical link between our sales engine and credit risk framework, ensuring the delivery of fast, responsible and innovative funding solutions to Australian SMEs.Key ResponsibilitiesScenario Assessment & Stakeholder EngagementCollaborate closely with sales, finance brokers, accountants and debt advisors to pre-screen and qualify potential loan scenariosComprehensive UnderwritingConduct deep-dive credit assessments for secured business loansAnalyse SME business cash flow, including detailed review of bank statements and financial statementsCredit Committee PresentationPrepare high-quality credit submissionsPresent recommendations clearly and confidently to the Credit CommitteeSecurity & Settlement ManagementLiaise with external solicitors and valuers to manage valuations and documentationEnsure all conditions are satisfied to achieve smooth and timely settlementsPortfolio Quality & Risk ManagementMaintain strong credit and risk standardsFind "the way to yes" through creative, responsible deal structuringExperience & QualificationsWe are looking for a commercially-minded analyst who thrives in a fast-paced non-bank lending environment.5+ years' experience as a Credit Analyst within unsecured business lending or property-backed business lendingEssential experience in the non-bank or private lending sectorDeep understanding of SME cash flow driversProven ability to interpret complex bank statements and financial reportsStrong technical knowledge of security registration processes (PPSR and mortgages)Sound understanding of relevant Australian lending legislationA creative and analytical problem-solver who can look beyond the numbersDegree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline (highly regarded)
