Casual Nursing Position in Eyre Peninsula
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant in Nursing to join our team at Tumby Bay Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive, professional environment while making a real difference in patient care.
As an Assistant in Nursing, you will work closely with Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses, providing vital support in delivering high-quality care to patients. Your role will involve assisting with personal care duties, supporting nursing procedures, cleaning equipment, and ensuring the smooth management of stock levels. You'll help create a safe and caring environment, offering compassionate support to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with patient personal care and routine nursing tasks.
* Support nursing procedures and maintain equipment.
* Help manage local stock levels and ensure cleanliness.
* Alert Registered Nurses to patient or visitor concerns.
* Work under the supervision of Registered and Enrolled Nurses to ensure optimal care.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* You must be enrolled in an undergraduate nursing or midwifery program, or employed on the basis that you will be undertaking a course approved by the Registration Authority for the preparation of Enrolled Nurses, or hold a Certificate III or IV in Basic Health Care, Aged Care, Health Services Assistance, Home and Community Care, or related fields.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
* Experience in nursing care within a healthcare setting.
