About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists in our Cairns office for a full-time Legal Secretary to join our busy Commercial team.
Your Responsibilities
1. Opening new matters and closing and archiving of completed matters.
2. Conducting conflict searches.
3. Diary management and coordination of meetings.
4. Telephone calls with clients, other law firms and third parties.
5. Drafting and amending correspondence and documents.
6. Electronic and hard copy filing.
7. Monthly billing, including invoicing and preparation of bills.
8. Assisting with conveyancing transactions as required for the property team in a predominantly electronic environment.
9. Providing general support to the Special Counsel in the performance of their work in commercial transactions.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a Legal Secretary with at least one year experience, who thrives in a busy environment.
You will have strong commitment to outstanding customer service, initiative, good judgement, exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
