Great opportunity to work on blue chip large scale high specification commercial office fit out projects with a market leading construction company.
A market leader with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, they are now seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their professional team.
Offering a range of services to their high end clients, the company specialises in fit-out and heavy refurb of Commercial/Office, Health, Education, Government, Hotels, Hospitality and Leisure sector projects. Incorporating a wide range of skillsets, their refurbishment work can have a large element of structural trades, heavy demolition, facades, steel and concrete (adding or removing levels etc).
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering safe, high quality and profitable construction projects from conversion, through to hand over, finalization and review providing a high quality service that will ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.
Projects range in value from smaller to $10m+ and up to $100m+
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Lead and manage project teams to ensure all aspects of the project are delivered on time and within budget
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation
Oversee project progress, track key milestones, and ensure adherence to quality standards
Manage stakeholder relationships and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle
Identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and best practices
Manage and document all quality concerns throughout the project
Qualifications and Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or similar
Minimum years+ experience in the successful delivery of projects from start to finish with a 3rd, 2nd or top tier fit-out and refurb contractor
Proven leadership ability in building and motivating teams
Detailed knowledge of local council and regulatory requirements / standards
Strong project financial reporting skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Well-developed interpersonal skills
Strong negotiation skills
Develops and maintains strong relationships with all stakeholders
Experience with Microsoft Office suite
Proficiency with construction software such as Jobpac, Procore, and Asta Powerproject (or similar) would be helpful
