About the role
OG Diesel NQ Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Field Service Diesel Fitter to join our team in Townsville, Queensland. This full-time role will involve providing prompt, reliable and high-quality diesel maintenance and repair services to our clients across the North Queensland region.
What you'll be doing
* Diagnose, repair and service a range of diesel-powered equipment, including heavy machinery, trucks and agricultural vehicles
* Conduct scheduled maintenance and repairs on client equipment at their remote worksites
* Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on the condition and maintenance requirements of their diesel-powered assets
* Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards
* Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
* Two weeks on, one week off roster - flexaible
What we're looking for
* Formal qualification in Diesel Fitting or equivalent trade certificate
* Extensive experience (5+ years) as a Diesel Fitter, preferably in a field service or mobile maintenance role
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex equipment issues
* Excellent knowledge of diesel engine systems and components, as well as associated hydraulic and electrical systems
* Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality standards, and able to work independently
* Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical clients
* A current driver's licence including MR, and willingness to travel to client sites as required
