What you'll be doing The Mental Health Inpatient Unit (MHIPU) Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) will provide high quality, evidence based care to consumers within the Broken Hill MHIPU and Mental Health Prevention and Rehabilitation Unit (MH-PARC). How to apply To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible: - Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). With post-registration qualifications and/or at three years' experience working in Mental Health and Drug & Alcohol. - Demonstrated ability to manage complex clinical care and service delivery issues and problem solve through the development and use of clinical management plans. - Demonstrated ability to exercise extended autonomy of decision making while working as part of a multidisciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations. - Demonstrated skills in the development & facilitation of patient, carer education and staff in the Mental Health Drug and Alcohol (MHDA) clinical area. - Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others. - Detailed knowledge and understanding of harm minimisation and evidence of leadership in patient safety and quality innovation. - Demonstrated competence in the use of health-related information technology. - Demonstrated emotional intelligence, written, verbal and technological communication skills, including computer skills.
