Bidgerdii Community Health Services is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community controlled primary health care service, operating in the Rockhampton and wider Central Queensland region for more than 30 years and our vision is for Healthy and Strong Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, children, families and communities – self – determining, culturally strong, and thriving in their own way. The name 'Bidgerdii' means 'healing plant' – the bark of the plant was used for tobacco, and the leaves for healing sores and rashes.
Bidgerdii provides comprehensive primary healthcare and wellbeing services, collaborates with partner agencies for integrated continuity of care and advocates for health policy and health system reform. Our services include general practice bulk-billing clinics, social and emotional wellbeing and generalist counselling services, chronic disease management, preventative health screening, children and family health and early childhood education services.

About the Role:
This position forms part of the Corporate Services Team. The HR Administration Assistant will assist the HR Coordinator, in providing a high level of administrative support relating to Human Resource and personnel compliance across the Organisation.
The HRM Administration Assistant will assist with contributing to the development of a culture that promotes staff retention through recruitment best practices, workforce planning and development. In addition, the incumbent will undertake special projects, as directed by the HRM Coordinator and/or Corporate Services Manager, in support of meeting the department key business objectives that's aligns with the Organisations strategic direction.
Duties include, but not limited to:
* End to End Recruitment
* Onboarding and Inductions
* Temporary Staff and Locum Engagement
* Personnel and Contractor File Management
* General Administration
About You:
You a compassionate, optimistic individual wanting to make a difference in peoples lives especially our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and also have the following:
* Organised with strong attention to detail.
* Comfortable with administration and data entry tasks.
* A confident communicator with good customer service skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Experienced in an administrative or office support role (HR exposure is an advantage but not essential).
* Keen to build a career in administration and HR
Practical Requirements:
* Valid Blue Card (Working with children check)
* Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD) – essential
* Immunisation requirements – It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following vaccine preventable diseases: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis A, COVID19 and pertussis (whooping cough) during their employment.
* Satisfactory Police Criminal History Check.
