About the role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Accredited Exercise Physiologist to join our team as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer. This area has achieved significant growth in recent years, offering students exciting programs of study including two Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) accredited degrees.
The successful applicant will have management, teaching, and research strengths within the field of Clinical Exercise Physiology. We are seeking staff who will take a key role in the ongoing design and development of curricula for the Exercise and Sport Science degrees, including the integration, coordination, and quality assurance of Work Integrated Learning (WIL) and professional placement experiences. The appointee will also contribute to the School’s research program and provide leadership in this field.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record in teaching and education development — particularly in applied and professional contexts — and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, industry-engaged learning outcomes for UNE students.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have a completed doctoral qualification in Clinical Exercise Physiology and demonstrated tertiary level teaching experience. You will have a developing research contribution to the field, with evidence of capacity to build and maintain research networks. You will have skills in people management and staff support.
