Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking applications for Business Support Officers to join us in multiple permanent, full-time roles. Based at our Springfield campus, these roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield — opening early 2026. This state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With a mix of public and private beds across ICU, maternity, emergency and medical, surgical services, it's set to care for over 200,000 patients annually.
* Provide high-level administrative support to Directors and Senior Leaders within a private practice environment
* Manage diaries, meetings, agendas, minutes, and executive correspondence
* Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities, including PageUp requests and interview scheduling
* Support rostering, leave, and workforce updates through Kronos
* Maintain accurate data, reports, spreadsheets, and departmental databases
* Process invoices, D365 requests, and support private billing activities
* Coordinate operational requests including IT, BEIMS, CAPEX, and facilities matters
* Liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders
* Assist with workshops, forums, education sessions, and special events
* Ensure confidentiality, compliance, and adherence to Mater policies, procedures, and values
About you
* Proven experience in healthcare or private practice administration (minimum 2 years highly desirable)
* Highly organised with strong time management and attention to detail
* Confident communicator with the ability to engage professionally and discreetly
* Experienced in managing confidential and sensitive information
* Comfortable working across multiple systems, databases, and Microsoft Office applications
* Able to exercise judgement, initiative, and problem-solving within established guidelines
* Collaborative team player who supports colleagues and contributes to a positive workplace culture
* Background in nursing or clinical environments is desirable but not essential
