About Us
Laynhapuy Homelands Aboriginal Corporation (Laynha) is a not-for-profit organisation that has supported 30 homeland communities in East Arnhem Land for over 40 years.
We deliver essential services including healthcare, aged care, housing, community services, and land and sea management through our Yirralka Rangers.
The Role
As the Community Engagement Manager, you will oversee the delivery of community engagement programs across the region with the aim of enabling Yongul to manage their finances and provide safe places for families in both a physical and emotional bi-cultural way.
This senior role will see you managing the contract lifecycle for each program, ensuring compliance and accountability, while also leading a team to deliver high-quality, community-driven services.
Current programs include (but are not limited to):
RAES
Economic Development
RJED
Key responsibilities include:
Managing contract compliance, budgets, performance reporting, and risk management.
Overseeing education and training as pathways to employment, whilst identifying and incubating new opportunities for social and corporate enterprises.
Leading strategic and operational planning, aligning program objectives with government priorities such as Closing the Gap.
Building strong relationships with providers, communities, employers, and government stakeholders.
Driving continuous improvement through data analysis, performance monitoring, and reporting.
Promoting program success through engagement with media, community meetings, and other channels.
About You
We are seeking an experienced leader committed to enhancing outcomes for remote communities.
You will bring:
Proven program or contract management experience in employment, community, or related services.
Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and resource allocation.
Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Understanding of Indigenous culture, with the ability to deliver and support culturally safe practices.
Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
