We’re looking for a talented and versatile Pizzaiolo who shares that passion — someone who’s strong on the pizza section but can also step confidently onto the pans (boiler) section when needed.

About the Role
As part of our close-knit kitchen team, you’ll work alongside passionate chefs delivering consistently high-quality Italian food in a bustling, high-energy environment.
Balboa Italian regularly serves 200+ covers a day, and you’ll be trusted to handle both the pizza station (hand-stretching, topping, managing a wood-fired oven) and pasta/pan service during busy periods.
This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in excellence, thrives under pressure, and enjoys working as part of a team that feels like family.
What We’re Looking For
* Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Pizzaiolo in a busy kitchen
* Confident working across both pizza and pans sections
* Experience with wood-fired pizza ovens and fresh pasta an advantage
* Passion for Italian flavours and seasonal ingredients
* A team player with excellent communication skills
* Calm, organised, and efficient during service
* Strong understanding of kitchen organisation, prep, and stock rotation
* A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and professional pride
