About the roleThe Engagement and Wellbeing Directorate provides statewide policy direction, reform and advice regarding the engagement and wellbeing of children and young people in education and care.
The Policy Officer, Child Safety works within a project team to lead the research, analysis, formulation, development, implementation and evaluation of policies, processes, tools, trainings and resources for a range of stakeholders across the Department for Education. Positive and purposeful stakeholder engagement both within and outside the department will be an important aspect of this role and knowledge of interagency services and responses will be required.
QualificationsThe successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

RemunerationASO7 $108,109 – 116,864 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading.
Additional noteThis is a full-time contract role (1.0 FTE), initial 9‐month term contract.
