About the Opportunity
William Clarke College is seeking a suitably qualified and dynamic Humanities Teacher to join our friendly and skilled academic staff team. Reporting to the Head of Faculty, you will be responsible for engaging with students to deliver quality teaching and learning experiences that speak to the core values of the College. In addition, you will actively engage with and deliver the College's teaching and learning frameworks.
This is a temporary position (parental leave relief) for up to 12 months. The teaching load for this role could be arranged part-time (0.6 or 0.8FTE), or the College is open to discuss potential for a full-time (1.0FTE) role for the right candidate.
About You
1. Experience in teaching in Humanities across Secondary stages.
2. Ability to teach Society and Culture may be a particular advantage, however all Humanities candidates are encouraged to apply.
3. Appropriate teaching qualifications and NESA accreditation
4. Demonstrated excellence as a classroom teacher
5. Collegiate and a good team player
6. Actively support the College's Christian ethos
7. The successful candidate will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a valid Working with Children Check in accordance with Child Protection legislation
8. Regular practicing member of a Christian church
