There is a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced Planner with 10+ years experience to join our APAC Planning team in Melbourne. Our team is made up of a group of highly skilled and motivated Planners with an enthusiastic approach to life and work. We currently service a pipeline of projects within the commercial, health and renewable energy sectors.
This role will require a planning expert, with a penchant for Business development as well as technical excellence in at least one of the above sectors. We are looking for a market facing leader to help foster new relationships, nurture existing, and develop staff to ensure our potential is reached.

Key Responsibilities Responsibilities
This role offers an opportunity to become a pivotal part of the planning team, both leading and growing a team within the VIC market.
The planning team and are dynamic and fast paced team. We are looking for a leader to continue to enable us to deliver quality, commercial planning outcomes for our existing clients and beyond.
While we consider that the right person will make this role their own, we consider the following to be important:
1. Support the Planning Manager in growing the Planning Teams market presence across professional networks in Victoria
2. Proactively identify and foster new opportunities and relationships within our key sectors (Commerical, Health or Renewable).
3. Deliver planning analysis and research via a commercially astute lens to confidently deliver exceptional results
4. Represent clients at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal
5. Keep abreast of legislative and policy changes within the planning realm
6. Manage several projects at any one time without direct supervision
7. Mentor and lead junior staff to assist the overall growth of the team
8. Liaising with clients, councils, consultants & other government agencies
9. Experience working across multi-disciplinary projects within a consulting environment
Experience
Not only will you bring a great attitude and enthusiastic approach to your work, ideally you will also have:
10. A degree in town planning or equivalent
11. Ideally you will have 10+ or more years working experience within a consulting business with direct experience in a town planning, property, development
12. Demonstrated ability to attract, retain and grow client relationships
13. A thorough understanding of project budgets and deliverables while maintaining excellent client service that we are known for
14. Strong verbal and written communication skills
15. Ability to take the initiative and be proactive in your workplace and implement new ideas
