Purpose of the Firefighter Role

Key Requirements
* Mandatory: Employers written consent to attend incidents and emergencies
* Mandatory: Live or work within a reasonable distance of a fire station
* Mandatory: Australian Permanent Resident Status
* Mandatory: Manual C Class driver's licence
Individuals will be required to attend:
* 50% of calls as a day worker with routine hours
* 30% of calls as a shift worker or have non-routine hours

* Responding to fires and other emergency incidents
* Contributing to community safety and emergency preparedness through education activities
* Developing and maintaining competencies by participating in regular drills and training courses provided by our agency
