Seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team driving high-impact, technology-led maintenance and optimisation solutions.An exceptional opportunity to manage a cutting-edge maintenance portfolio—based in Brisbane, with the work-life balance to be home every evening.This high-impact leadership role serves as the key connection between internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring engineering initiatives are strategically aligned with long-term business goals to drive operational excellence, extend asset life, and support sustainable growth.Key Accountabilities :Provide leadership on Industrial Relations (IR) matters, ensuring effective communication, compliance with agreements, and a collaborative work environment.Manage maintenance labor and contractor activities in line with workplace policies, operational needs, and long-term asset strategies.Lead and drive team performance through regular one-on-one meetings, clear goal setting, and structured performance reviews.Ensure departmental adherence to safety & environmental standards and promote a strong safety culture.Develop lifecycle cost models and strategic plans for equipment maintenance, replacement, and resource optimisation.Oversee resource allocation and expenditure in accordance with established processes and budgetary guidelines.Foster a culture of reliability-centered maintenance and continuous improvement using data-driven, evidence-based approaches.Qualifications, Experience and SkillsBachelor’s degree in engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field is preferred.10+ years’ experience in maintenance of automated equipment, industrial engineering, or terminal operations.Knowledge of SCADA, PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, ABB, Schneider), and automated handling equipment.Proven leadership in managing blue collar teams in highly technical, regulated environments.Experience with Terminal Operating Systems (TOS), and exposure to autonomous assets such as IGVs, and port automation systems or equivalent.Lean, Six Sigma training, or relevant experience is a strong advantage.About DP WorldTrade is the lifeblood of the global economy, creating opportunities and improving the quality of life for people around the world.
