Your new company
Our client, a leading company specialising in Commercial construction, is recruiting a talented Site Manager to work on the delivery of various projects, from complex new builds to large-scale renovations and fit-outs. Projects will involve a mix of Commercial, Government and Defence works. The role is a permanent full-time position based in Darwin.
Your new role
As a Site Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activity on site for the projects to be delivered within the agreed timeframe and budget and according to the company's quality and safety standards.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
* Review the project plans and specifications and comment on the building design, scheduling, possible cost-savings measures, and potential construction problems.
* Develop the daily and fortnightly programming.
* Monitor the project construction schedule and the subcontractors' scope of works.
* Supervise the activity on site and oversee the Trades and subcontractors' daily operations.
* Ensure an efficient and safe quality of work according to the company's standards.
* Report directly to the Project Manager about the work progress and ensure scheduled works are completed on time.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need:
* Significant experience in a Site Manager or Site Supervisor role working on Commercial or Government construction projects in Australia.
* Trade qualifications / background in Construction.
* Previous experience in interpreting drawings and specifications.
* Previous experience with subcontractor management.
* Strong understanding of MS Office applications and/or Procore is desirable.
* Solid leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
