The Organisation
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the Finance Analyst will provide both operational and financial insight to support the leadership team. This hands-on role combines technical accounting, SAP system expertise, and strong analytical skills to ensure accurate reporting and effective decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Analysing operational and financial data to identify business drivers, KPIs, and cost optimisation opportunities.
- Supporting monthly reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, including posting journals and reconciling accounts.
- Extracting and analysing data from SAP FI/CO/CATS/PS/HR/PM modules, with some use of Power BI.
- Collaborating with project teams and senior accountants to monitor labour, equipment, and operational schedules.
- Acting as a business partner, providing financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Identifying gaps in utilisation and cost efficiencies, and contributing to process improvements.
Qualifications
- 4-5+ years’ experience in finance, accounting, or audit roles.
- Advanced Excel skills; Power BI knowledge advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with month-end processes, journals, and reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of SAP systems (FI/CO/CATS/PS/HR/PM).
- Ability to interpret operational data and link to financial outcomes.
- Robust stakeholder engagement and business partnering skills.
- CPA/CA qualification advantageous but not mandatory.
