About the role
Tropical Fruit World is seeking a Farm Animal Park Assistant to join our dedicated team at our stunning location in Duranbah, NSW. As a casual position, this role will see you contributing to the day-to-day operations of our renowned Fauna Park, caring for and interacting with our diverse array of farm animals.
What you'll be doing
* Assisting with the feeding, monitoring, and general care of our resident animals
* Providing top-notch customer service to park visitors, answering questions and educating them about our animals
* Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of animal enclosures and the wider park grounds
* Helping with the set-up and pack-down of special events and activities
* Reporting any animal health or welfare concerns to the park management team
What we're looking for
* A genuine passion for wildlife and conservation, with prior experience working with animals
* A good understanding of animals and their care
* Certificate II or III in Animal Studies, Captive Animals, or similar (not essential but a bonus)
* First Aid certificate (not essential but a bonus)
* Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage with visitors of all ages
* Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
* A current driver's licence and your own reliable transportation
