About your new employer!
This large, complex university operates in a highly regulated public sector environment and has recently completed a major finance restructure. As part of this change, the Management Accounting function has been centralised within FP&A to strengthen governance, reporting, and financial control.
The finance team supports a broad internal client base across faculties and professional services, with strong links to government funding, budgeting, forecasting, and month end processes. The culture values accuracy, curiosity, and people who actively look for better ways of working.
This role will support a critical period of delivery across budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

This is a practical, delivery focused role suited to someone who enjoys getting into the detail and contributing ideas for process improvement.
Key tasks for this role include:

• Communicating clearly with stakeholders across finance and the wider business
About you!
You are a capable Management Accountant who is confident operating in a structured, regulated environment and comfortable working with financial detail.
You enjoy asking questions, understanding the why behind the numbers, and improving how things are done.
You will bring:

• Experience in management accounting, financial accounting, or FP&A environments
• Confidence working with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to quickly pick up financial systems
