We're working with a well-established, WA-based environmental services business that's looking to appoint a confident and capable Team Leader for their Environmental Monitoring team.
This role is about people leadership, client management, and operational oversight – not being the most technical person in the room.
This is a key leadership role in a growing small business, where the right person can genuinely make their mark.
You'll take ownership of the day-to-day leadership of a small monitoring team, work closely with clients, and help bring consistency, confidence, and commercial focus to the function.
The business has a strong pipeline of work across construction and some mining projects, with real scope to grow alongside the role over time.
Key Focus of the Role
* Day-to-day leadership of the Environmental Monitoring team
* Supporting, guiding, and developing junior staff
* Providing clarity, structure, and direction in a busy environment
* Managing client relationships and being comfortable in commercial conversations
* Overseeing scheduling, priorities, and general workflow
* Getting out to visit clients and project sites when needed
* Working closely with management to improve consistency and efficiency
What We're Looking For
* A strong, confident people leader who enjoys leading from the front
* Someone who can influence, motivate, and inspire a small team
* Comfortable managing clients and representing the business professionally
* Commercially aware – understands time, cost, and client expectations
* Approachable, practical, and calm under pressure
* Background in environment, science, engineering, or a related field (helpful but not essential)
* You do
not
need to be a monitoring technician or equipment expert
