We’re now looking for a Business Banking Analyst to join our Newcastle team, supporting Relationship Executives across a diverse commercial portfolio.
The opportunity
As a Business Banking Analyst, you’ll play a key role in the end‑to‑end credit process, providing high‑quality analysis and insights that support sound lending decisions. This role is particularly well suited to someone who has exposure to commercial property, property finance, or asset‑backed lending, and is keen to deepen their career within business banking.
You’ll work closely with Relationship Executives, helping structure solutions that meet both client needs and CBA’s risk appetite.
What You’ll Be Doing
Preparing clear, well‑reasoned credit assessments for new and existing business clientsAnalysing financial statements, cash flows and security positions (including property‑backed facilities)Using CBA’s market‑leading credit and risk tools to identify opportunities and manage riskMonitoring portfolio performance and ensuring ongoing compliance with credit policiesSupporting Relationship Executives with deal structuring, client reviews and proposalsMaintaining accurate client documentation and recordsDelivering responsive, professional support to internal and external stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related disciplineExperience in business banking, credit analysis, commercial lending or property finance (highly regarded)Exposure to commercial property, development, or investment lending will be viewed favourablyStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial informationClear, confident written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and sound time‑management skillsAdvanced Excel capability and confidence working with financial modelsA collaborative mindset and genuine interest in supporting regional businesses
