About The OPPORTUNITY
We have multiple vacancies for Avionics Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join our Lead in Fighter (Hawk) team within the Aerospace organization based in Williamtown, NSW, reporting to the Team Lead.
If you have recently completed a Certificate IV in Aeroskills – Avionics apprenticeship, or have extensive experience in Defence and/or Commercial Aircraft maintenance as a qualified Avionics Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, we want to hear from you.
Key RESPONSIBILITIES
* Maintain, inspect, and diagnose faults in avionic systems and components
* Experience with fixed and/or rotary wing aircraft in an aviation environment is preferred
* Ensure maintenance meets all regulatory and airworthiness standards
* Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as directed by the Team Leader
* Use and ensure proper authorization of maintenance documentation and data
* Accurately record work details and obtain necessary certifications
* Incorporate engineering advice, defect reports, and publication updates
* Report defects, deficiencies, and maintenance errors promptly
* Perform maintenance within delegated and authorized levels
* Initiate quality, non-conformance, or defect reports as required
About YOU
* Certificate IV in Aeroskills – Avionics or equivalent (Mandatory)
* Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain a Federal Government Security Clearance (Mandatory)
* Experience or strong interest in Defence Aircraft maintenance (Mandatory)
* Military or Civil Aviation Maintenance Licence (Highly Desirable)
* Understanding of Australian Defence Force aircraft maintenance regulations (Highly Desirable)
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Applicant Eligibility & Security Clearances
Applicants must be Australian citizens eligible for a Baseline security clearance. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliance may affect suitability based on nationality.
