Corpay Inc, a Fleetcor Company is looking to hire a Junior Compliance Analyst based in our office in Sydney.
Role:
This is an APAC junior compliance analyst role reporting to the Asia Pacific Compliance Manager. This position will work with the Compliance Analysts in Australia and Indonesia to conduct new accounts onboarding activities, ongoing customer due diligence, AML compliance tasks and other adhoc tasks.
**Responsibilities**:
- Complete due diligence checks on corporate entities and beneficial owners using third party systems (e.g. illion, Bvd, Accuity), passport & ID checks, internet searches and address verification;
- Complete customer risk assessments in line with team procedures and compliance manual;
- Approve and set up accounts that fall into the low-risk category;
- Conduct enhanced due diligence for complex or high-risk accounts and provide supporting documents to the Regional Compliance Manager for approval;
- Review, approve and set up affiliate accounts for sales group;
- Liaise with relevant salesperson on any outstanding requirements and requests or when submitted documentation is not acceptable;
- Prepare case files for review (e.g., media search results, copies of statements/check, results from internal system searches, etc.);
- Conduct investigations and periodic client reviews according to internal AML procedures and process;
- Work on live transactions monitoring and post transaction monitoring alerts;
- Assist with responding to requests from law enforcement and external agencies;
- Assist the Regional Compliance Manager with administering the compliance training program, compliance monitoring and call monitoring, and administration of internal controls;
- Monitor compliance incidents and breaches on a regular basis, alerting and escalating all incidents to the Regional Compliance Manager as necessary;
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders;
- Manage case load efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain current knowledge on AML and compliance legislation (Know Your Customer, Office of Foreign Asset Control (Sanctions) and Anti-Money Laundering); and
- Perform ad hoc assignments as required.
**Required Skills**:
Required Experience
- 1-3 years compliance experience ideally from within financial services, insurance or other regulated industries;
- Previous exposure to AML/CTF requirements, including customer due diligence and transaction monitoring;
- Quantitative and qualitative analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Strong multitasking and time management skills and the ability to prioritise work and manage workflow effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish relationships internally and externally;
- Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to manage varied expectations across several different departments;
- Ability to plan and manage multiple and competing priorities;
- Compliance monitoring experience preferable, but not essential; and
- CAMS certification or equivalent preferred but not essential.
