THE OPPORTUNITY
Drive revenue growth through the development and execution of a strategic sponsorship and partnerships plan that expands our partner portfolio while maximising the value of existing relationships. Leveraging market intelligence, industry networks and commercial opportunities, you will identify, secure and grow high-value partnerships that deliver sustainable revenue and long-term business outcomes.
With your deep understanding of major sports, events and entertainment landscape and sharp commercial instincts, you'll identify, secure and grow high-value partnerships that deliver sustainable revenue and strengthen our long‐term competitive edge. DAY TO DAY, THE ROLE WILL:
- Develop and execute the Club's partnerships strategy, driving sustainable revenue growth, commercial innovation, and long-term business value.
- Lead and manage a portfolio of partners, ensuring strong commercial outcomes, exceptional partner experiences, and mutually beneficial relationships.
- Identify, negotiate, and secure new category partnerships whilst driving existing partnership renewals, through proactive account management and value creation.
- Lead, and develop a high-performing partnerships team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and commercial excellence.
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships with senior executives, key stakeholders, industry leaders, and decision-makers to enhance the Club's commercial position and influence.
- Develop innovative partnership assets, programs, and activation opportunities that maximise partner ROI and audience engagement.
- Lead strategic business planning, forecasting, and performance reporting across the partnerships function.
- Ensure sound financial management, including budget ownership, contract governance, and a strong understanding of P&L.
- Collaborate across marketing, procurement, customer experience, hospitality, events, and racing teams to deliver integrated strategic outcomes and maximise partnership value.
- Monitor market trends, industry developments, and competitive activity to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and inform strategic decision-making.
- Represent the Club at industry events, networking forums, and key stakeholder engagements, enhancing the organisation's profile and commercial reputation.
THE RIGHT FIT
- Extensive senior leadership experience, with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing commercial teams.
- Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills, with demonstrated success in securing and closing high-value business-to-business partnership agreements.
- Strong and established networks across a range of industries, with the ability to leverage relationships to drive commercial growth.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- The ability to build credibility and engage a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives, partners, and industry leaders.
- Advanced strategic planning and business acumen, with the capability to develop and execute long‐term commercial growth strategies.
- Strong commercial and financial management skills, including experience managing budgets, forecasting revenue, and understanding P&L performance.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in a fast‐paced environment.
- A collaborative leadership style, with a focus on fostering a high-performance culture built on accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
