Responsibilities
* Provide roadside safety support at school crossing sites as a casual relief.
* Supervise school crossing traffic during school zone hours 8.00–9.30 AM and 2.30–4.00 PM.
* Be reliable and available Monday to Friday during the school term, with a minimum one‐hour shift as required.
* Maintain a safe environment for children, parents, teachers, and local motorists.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Minimum age 18 years at time of appointment.
* Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check, reference checks, Police Check, and Health Assessment.
* Reliable, good communication skills and alert to potential dangers.
* Ability to show up for community work in all weather conditions.
* Will receive training, uniforms and equipment.
Working Hours and Conditions
Shift times: 8:00–9:30 AM and 2:30–4:00 PM.
Minimum one‐hour shift; hours and assignments are at the discretion of the department and may vary.
Role is on‐site, in‐person.
